Through a series of small workshops, TeMaS aims at bringing together small groups of researchers from different fields to work together in a specific topic and further collaboration that will, eventually, result in new science and joint publications.

The 2019 ZASSy (Zircon Age Spectra Systematics) workshop was held in the Golf und Landhotel Rheinhessen, located in the beautiful wine-producing area of St. Johann, on October 25-27. The main goal was to further boost existing efforts for initiating a constructive dialog between experts in zircon petrochemistry, geochronology, and numerical modeling to define the state-of-the-art for zircon age spectra modeling and to outline potential future improvements.

A total of 11 senior and junior scientists from the universities of Mainz, Heidelberg, Geneva, ETH Zurich, and UCLA participated in this workshop, bringing together complementing expertise in this field of research.
